New this week to online Fashionistas is a website called Boutiques.com, brought to you by the mega search engine, Google. I went online to check it out and ended up spending a good amount of time searching and discovering everything the website has to offer.
Their website will help "you find and discover fashion goods through a collection of boutiques curated by taste-makers -- celebrities, stylists, designers, and fashion bloggers. Boutiques uses visual technology to help fashionistas discover and shop their look and creates the opportunity for designers to showcase their collections and latest inspirations online."
First, users can take a quiz, which helps to determine your "style." It guides you through a series of photos, asking which you prefer, also providing a selection for you to "skip" if you do not fancy either of the looks. It told me I was "casual chic" and I found it accurate. It then guides you through the application, asking you to choose dresses, tops, bottoms, shoes and designers that you like and also for those that you do not like.
You can mark clothing, bags and accessories as favorites and save them in your own, personal, online boutique. My most favorite feature the website has to offer is the "Visually Similar Items." You find an article of clothing that you like and the site will offer similar pieces at different price points: brilliant! Clicking on the item takes you right to the website where you can purchase.
If you have some free time, check it out. It's fun to build a virtual closet and find items that suit your Boutique.com appointed style!
