What a fun weekend :: a little bit of relaxation and a little bit of 'out and about.' Friday night, I took a Barre 3 class with two girlfriends before hitting the new Transformers movie, in 3D, with Doug. While we both enjoyed the movie, I think it had more meaning for him since he grew up with the action figures. Saturday morning, I was up and at 'em for an early fitness class. Zengo is a Zen spin studio, that originated in Maryland and is popping up in different locations around the DMV. After the 50 minute class, I headed into DuPont Circle to grab a Jrink Juice and then home.
Saturday evening, we headed to the Four Seasons in Baltimore to celebrate Michael's birthday. On the menu were jumbo crabs, corn on the cob, salads, shrimp cocktail and lots of Old Bay french fries. I was happy that I torched some calories earlier that morning, as my dinner consisted of salad and french fries -- not the healthiest of choices for the evening, but we all had fun.
Sunday's were made for sleeping in and that's exactly what I did Sunday morning! Followed by brunch, coffee and the farmers market. The relaxing part came last night when I watched a few episodes of Ray Donovan on Showtime. The new season comes out in a few weeks and I wanted to catch up so I could jump into season two with both feet.
Are you more excited for the 4-day work week or more surprised that it's (almost) 1 July? Until tomorrow...
