What I'm Reading // Link Love

A list of helpful articles and my latest book on "What I'm Reading Now" for July 21, 2015.

I have to admit, when I see someone on Instagram wearing a stunning pair of sunglasses, if they're not tagged, I search the comments to see where they're from. With Instagram as the new micro blog "copycat fashion" is on the rise.  But is it still taboo? This piece explores the rise of monetized social media.

Most days, I work from home and take a mid-morning break to workout, so I spend a large percentage of my day in Under Armour -- and kind of love it.  The look is on the rise, sales of denim are on the decline, big named retailed are jumping on board and new athileasure companies are popping up monthly. From Bikram to boardroom, these clothes are described as "clothes that you can wear all day, but that do not compromise sophistication and chicness," but are they here to stay? This piece asks the question

I'm not sure that I can fully scrub my closet to this extend, but I respect the effort (and hope that I'll get there one day!) This piece shares tips on effective ways to detox your closet and a 4-Step Wardrobe cleanse. If you have any of your own, please share them below.

Changing the way we look at exercise :: This piece suggests that we look at it as more of a short-term solution to a long term goal. To me, this approach is perfection and in a world of "instant gratification" it's a great way to approach fitness in bite sized, daily doses.

Last, but not least, "The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House" for tonight's book club.  A few years ago, I was asked to join a book club and loved it, but dropped out after a few months, because I felt like a slacker for not completing the books. I've since rejoined and am looking forward to our meeting tonight!
