Lessons learned from 30-Days of Fitness

This was the year I wrote the least. Of course, I can make up excuses as to why -- more clients, more fitness, etc., but the fact is, I just didn't make time.  I've been doing the challenge for 5 years now and over the course of 5 years, it's just "what I do" -- it's a part of my day. Day 21 :: Went out for a Run

The title has been chosen only because it rhymes -- no run yesterday.  Although, some of the walk home from Pilates turned into a trot. I made an appointment with another chiropractor yesterday and realized that there are two kinds.  One is a wellness doctor, while the other  specializes in sports.  One says "no running" and the other says "let's make a plan." Frankly, I'm torn between which one is the better option for me.

2014: 4 Day Recap

My intention was to run Thursday morning, but my legs were crushed from the double leg-centric workouts on Wednesday, that it was more of a jog/walk.  The plan was do run a four-mile loop, which I still completed, but not by running.  I completed what I had sent out to do, just not in the manner in which I intended.  Sometimes, that happens.  On Friday morning, I went to my favorite yoga class - a 75-minute Ashtanga practice in Arlington. It had been a few days since I'd been to the studio, so it felt really good to stretch my body, focus on my breathing and flow through a class.
