Achilles PR is a strategic public relations firm, based out of Washington, DC.

Founded in 2013 by Hilary Phelps, GJM provides organizational brand development and expansion services through strategic partnerships, event activation, and integrated communications planning across traditional, digital, and social media outlets. In 2016, GJM was enveloped by Achilles PR to increase our level of services to current and future clients. 

Our goal is to "thread the needle" when it comes to developing and executing our client's growth objectives with tailored precision. We don't believe in expansion for the sake of expansion. In the modern economic environment, only smart growth can provide both short-term profit and long-term sustainability. As such, we work closely with each client to understand their position, their path, and their pace toward expansion. About Hilary Phelps Eldridge

Hilary Phelps is the founder and creative force behind the GJ Media Group (now Achilles PR).

Hilary graduated from the University of Richmond in 2000, with a degree in Criminal Justice. While at Richmond, she was a decorated, four-year scholarship swimmer and served as a student leader on the university's volunteer action committee.

Upon graduation, Hilary remained in the state capital, where she joined a boutique marketing firm. The small-size firm offered a wide range of daily responsibilities ranging from event management and project development, to the packaging and promotion of a television show for the PBS network. 

In 2002, Hilary moved to a marketing research firm, in Washington, DC. Over the next three years, she performed industry research and analysis, oversaw event management and activation, and served as a liaison to the firm's biotech clientele. 

In 2005, Hilary took a position with a larger non-profit association, in Washington, DC, where she expanded her role and experience in project and event management, while also working directly with members, sponsors, and the Board of Directors. 

In 2008, Hilary moved to Baltimore and began work with the newly formed Michael Phelps Foundation, where she focused on program development related to water safety and the sport of swimming. Hilary was instrumental in MPF's partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America as well as the Special Olympics. 

In 2013, Hilary created the GJ Media Group, as a reflection and culmination of 13 years of media and marketing experience across three states and a variety of sectors and service industries. Three years later, GJM joined Achilles PR. 

Outside of the office, Hilary is an Ironman finisher, a certified yoga + Pilates expert, a television personality, and a lover of bulldogs, baking, and beach cruiser bicycles. She lives and works in the DC-metro area.
